welcome to ameer's virtual tour

please, sit back, relax, and enjoy your time through ameer's virtual tour. to start the tour we'll approach from the street. the lovely geary blvd!

there is an arrow pointing to my 3rd story bedroom. as you can see, my windows are open since it's a nice sunny california day.

ah yes, the front gate. here's where you push the button to ring my doorbell. never had a big metal gate like this as a front door... it takes a getting used to for me, i feel like i enter and leave jail each time i pass. i've always lived in a house that had a back sliding door that was never locked, or a front door that wasn't locked.

i've also never used something like this before, kinda like a built in walkie talkie! how fun! "that's a ten-four, roger, niner, copy, over and out -BEEP"

enter the kitchen. she's not much, but she feeds me enough. i love gas stoves, when i said this my roomate looked at me with a bit of bewilderment (bewilderness?) she was bewildered... are gas stoves not that cool? i dig em! fire!

i titled this picture "hallwindowview". this faces east, towards good ol downtown san francisco.
down that hallway you come to my bedroom, which we are now standing in. did you take off your shoes? don't worry, i cleaned up that dirty bowl right after taking this picture. the colorful poster on the ground is being straightend out in hopes of future wall mounting, provided i find a frame cheap enough that fits!! any suggestions? donations?

to the left is my bed. that's right, i sleep on a plie of crap in a corner. ok, it's a tri-fold foam mat that mom gave me. i like it, and for the last 4 months i have slept in a guest bed so i was ok. i'm on the look out for a full-queen size bed. we'll see what happens. for now, my tri fold mat is getting some use, it doesn't impress the ladies, but c'mon, when have i ever impressed a lady? honestly i like the tri-fold!

head forward and you're now at the bathroom. MY bathroom! i've never had a bathroom in my room. it's helped me drink more water. i'm so excited to have my own bathroom that i want to use it more. hence drinking more water!

turn around and here you have the rest of my room. 2 nice windows.

i've set up my computer and i've even got a chair to go with my desk! something most people take for granted, however i have been without this luxury since oct '03

directly to my RHS (that's the acronym for right hand side) is this window and beautiful view of geary blvd. neato eh? still not impressed? well notice that there's no screen on this window! that's right folks, i'm so wild, i chance the fact that bugs just may get into my house when i open the window. how's that for wild?

ah yes, my turntables! it's so nice to have something to look at while spinning. the last time these were setup (you guessed it, sept '03) they were inside of a closet! and what did i look at? the back of the closet! i'd say this is a bit of an upgrade.

now the finale of the tour. the balcony. this balcony is as wide as our appt. and the view is great! in the morning the sun rises between those two little hills these san franciscans refer to as twin peaks. (that will change with the seasons, but for now that's how it works)

moving along we now are looking at the golden gate park. to me it looks like a bunch of tree tops from here, but there's a park there i swear.

and to your right, the ocean! that's right folks, the real pacific ocean. i've never lived anywhere with any sort of water view. besides my parent's place, they have a backyard pool, and a perpetual water puddle right in front of the driveway. but those are small beans compared to the pacific ocean!

well kids that concludes our tour of ameer's new appartment. you should do the physical tour, it's way better. and you can actually see the waves coming in to the beach. thanks for coming and don't let the door hit you on the way out. no really, it's a heavy door.
